Course Information

Once you add the course, you will be taken to the Course Information page:

The Course Information Page includes important information about a course such as its name, URL, category, level, and image. This information is essential as it gives potential students a clear understanding of what the course is about and helps them make an informed decision about whether to enroll or not. Sections in the Course Information Page are outlined below:

Course Name:

Name the title of your course. There are no restrictions on the number of characters used but keep in mind you want your titles to be short and memorable.

URL:

The URL for your course can be customized. It is automatically populated based on your course title. If you’d like to edit the url, you can click the pencil icon and edit it.

Category:

Select the categories that best fit your course. You can select a single or multiple categories. Keep in mind there is a main parent category and sub categories for each parent. For example, let’s say we are creating a course about tennis. You would select “Health and Fitness” as the parent category and then “Sports” as the sub category. Please only select categories that apply to your course topic. Selecting categories that don’t apply to your course can result in account removal.

Level:

Select the experience level associated with your material. This is subjective but allows students to understand if your course is a beginner course versus and advanced course (or something inbetween).

Image:

This is the main image that will appear on the listing page to sell your course. You can either drag/drop the file from your desktop into the box or select the file by clicking “Upload an Image”. Recommended sizing: 480×380 pixels.

Recommended format: JPEG

If you need to replace the image, just hover your cursor over the image and click remove. Repeat the previous steps to re-upload an image.

After filling out the course information, click the “Create” button to manage Course Curriculum and lessons.
